I was born in Scotland, and after 4 international moves throughout my childhood, my family settled in South Africa in 2010. Here I went to school, studied filmmaking and found myself in Botswana working with a documentary film crew.
After spending a few years in the bush of the Okavango Delta, I was inspired to pick up a pencil and draw the animals I saw on a daily basis. Drawing is my way of honoring wildlife without interfering, to simply observe and preserve their presence.
I have always had an eye for detail, a steady hand, and an urge to create. Drawing from photographs came naturally to me from a young age, but it was only through experiencing the raw beauty of the natural world that I found true motivation. My work is a reflection of that appreciation, a respectful study of the animals we share this world with.
